Burton Chace Park is the largest public park in Marina del Rey, California. It is named after Burton W. Chace, a former Mayor of Long Beach and Los Angeles County Supervisor. [2] Comprising approximately 10 acres (4.0 ha), the park is located on Mindanao Way near Admiralty Way.
The Marina function was added by the Board of Supervisors in 1954. [3] The department also operates Burton Chace Park, and monitors raptor and waterbird nesting sites in Marina Del Rey's urban forest; tree trimmers wishing to work in the area must apply for a special permit. [4]

Burton W. Chace was born in Nebraska. On March 20, 1953, Governor Earl Warren appointed him to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors following the death of Supervisor Raymond V. Darby . Chace was elected to the remainder of the term in 1954 and elected to four full terms.
