Warner began a movement to "save" the river by writing to the local paper, The Cranford Citizen, and urging that the river be made into a memorial to the young men who had died in the recent World War I.

Lenape Park is a 450-acre (180 ha) [1] [2] wildlife reserve and park that is part of the Rahway River Parkway in Union County, New Jersey, United States. The park is located in four towns: Westfield , Springfield , Kenilworth , and Cranford .
The reservoir sits along the Robinsons Branch of the Rahway River. Clark residents have sunbathed, fished and bird-watched along the edges of the Robinson's Branch Reservoir since its inception.
