Railroad House is a historic home located at Sanford, Lee County, North Carolina. It was built in 1872, and is a 1 + 1 ⁄ 2-story, three-bay, board-and-batten, Gothic Revival style frame cottage. The gable roof has wide overhanging eaves and "rafter brackets."
Notable buildings include the East Sanford Graded School, Sanford Congregational Christian Church (1904; 1924; 1949), Deaton-Makepeace House (c. 1900), and Sanford Chapel (1940s). [2] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. [1]
