Charles de Villers by the artist Friedrich Carl Gröger, date unknown, c1800 Charles François Dominique de Villers (4 November 1765 – 26 February 1815) was a French philosopher . He was mainly responsible for translating the philosophy of Immanuel Kant into the French language.
Charles wrote most of his military biography of king Louis XIV of France after his military career had ended. According to his elder brother, Joseph Sevin de Quincy, the author of Mémoires du chevalier de Quincy, who also had a military career, Charles borrowed freely from the latter's diaries, without attribution, for the military history in that work.

After immigrating to the United States in 1991, he earned both bachelor's and master's degrees from Juilliard School , graduating in 1998.

Alexis-Vincent-Charles Berbiguier de Terre-Neuve du Thym or better known as M. Berbiguier (1765 – December 3, 1851) was a French author and demonologist who may have had psychosis. He was born, and died, in Carpentras in Southern France , and was the heir to an estate, which he used to finance the publication of his unusual memoirs .
