Nature. Daingerfield State Park covers 507 acres in the Pineywoods of Texas. Pine trees and hardwoods thrive in the park. By 1935, the demand for iron ore and wood products had led to the near deforestation of the area.

June 17, 2024 - Part of the day-use area will be closed starting in mid-August for a sidewalk improvement project. The swim/beach area and the back deck of the pavilion will remain open. You may hear construction noise. Please observe all signs for safety.
TPWD closed the park for a year in 2011 for a major remodel. Improvements included three new campground restrooms and an upgrade to full hookup campsites for the Big Pine, Dogwood and Mountain View areas.
