If you choose to early vote or will wait until Tuesday November 5th Election Day to vote, make sure you have a valid photo ID with you. WISK / WDEC. “LOCAL NEWS”. Tuesday October 22, 2024. *UPDATE*. In less than a week, the state of Georgia has set a new record in the number of early voters. Over 1.5 million across the state have now voted and there’s still nine days left during this early voting period. Turnout here has been steady since day one.
The offices of the City of Americus, the Sumter County Courthouse and the LEC are all closed today for the holiday. With the LEC offices being closed today there will be no Sumter County Sheriff’s reports until tomorrow’s Local News.
