Jarad Anthony Higgins (December 2, 1998 – December 8, 2019), known professionally as Juice Wrld (pronounced "juice world"; stylized as Juice WRLD), was an American rapper and singer-songwriter. He emerged as a leading figure in the emo and SoundCloud rap genres, which garnered mainstream attention during the mid-to-late 2010s.
Investigations are underway into the sudden death of Juice WRLD. The 21-year-old rapper, real name Jarad A. Higgins, died Sunday after reportedly suffering a seizure at Chicago's Midway airport.
Juice Wrld's cause of death is unknown at this time. The Chicago-born rapper burst onto the music scene in May 2018 with breakout hit "Lucid Dreams," which charted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
