The 23-member team consisted of 3 players from the Soviet Union Olympic team. They played against the unofficial national team, Dhaka XI, on 6 November 1973. [13] Enayetur Rahman scored the country's first ever international goal and the second goal was scored by fellow striker Kazi Salahuddin.
