Twisted Metal 2 [a] is a vehicular combat video game developed by SingleTrac and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.The second game in the Twisted Metal series, it was originally released in 1996 for PlayStation and Windows.
The amount of playable characters for this game was halved in comparison to the first game, with ten characters available at the beginning of the game and one unlockable character. Track amounts were greatly increased, however, with ten new tracks, and tracks from the original game. All the original Jet Moto tracks were locked from the start.
TrackMania 2 features gameplay similar to that of previous games in the series. [1] Sweet Tooth is designed around the premise of a killer clown that drives a combat ice cream truck, and his face has been featured on the cover of every Twisted Metal game, making him the series' mascot.
The game features a new environment, Canyon, as well as two modes, Race and Platform. Platform mode is featured in the free extension pack, TrackMania 2: Platform. Besides the new environment, the game also includes a split-screen mode, and a scripting language called "ManiaScript" which lets players add their own new features to the game.
The game is split into levels: the Great Wall of China, Venice, an oil rig and shipwreck in an unspecified ocean area, and the foothills of Tibet.
