Owl City is an American electronic music project created in 2007 in Owatonna, Minnesota.It is one of several projects by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adam Young, who created the project while experimenting with music in his parents' basement.
Adam Randal Young (born July 5, 1986) [7] is an American singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known as the founder and sole member of electronica project Owl City . [7] According to an interview with Power 88 FM radio, the song was inspired after Young read a news report online about a Sudanese woman, who was sentenced to death for her Christian beliefs, but was later rescued.
