Athens (2016 Population 3,013) [1] is a township in the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville in Eastern Ontario, Canada.It is located approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) north of the St. Lawrence River, near Brockville, west of Addison, and about 90 kilometres (56 mi) south west of Ottawa.
In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Athens had a population of 974 living in 420 of its 438 total private dwellings, a change of -0.8% from its 2016 population of 982. With a land area of 2.12 km 2 (0.82 sq mi), it had a population density of 459.4/km 2 (1,189.9/sq mi) in 2021.
