The troupe was started by Ethel Meglin in 1928. Meglin was a Ziegfeld girl in feature films. [1] Director/actor and Slapstick Keystone King Mack Sennett was supportive of the formation of the troupe's studio. Sennett donated a Meglin Kiddie studio building sign and assisted in securing an operations location on his lot. [2]
Her maternal grandmother, Ethel Davis Blaney, was a screenwriter who married actor Keye Luke in 1942. [2] Longenecker graduated from Arcadia High School in 1963. [3] She earned a bachelor's degree at the University of California at Riverside in 1967, and pursued further studies at the University at Buffalo, where she earned a PhD in 1973. [4]

Surrendered School of Dance, formerly called Surrendered School of the Arts [1] [2] was established in 2009 as the official dance school of Paradosi Ballet Company. The school's primary teaching focus is ballet supplemented with contemporary dance and modern dance. Dance classes are offered for students from the age of three through adult.
