I have a virtual machine with Windows 10 Professional installed with regular OEM license. I was wondering how the licensing system works on virtual machines.

I mention these because i installed virtualbox on my pc and ran the exact same VM on it and i was getting 10-15x better network speeds. After work i'll try enabling virtualization, then completely fresh installing VirtualBox, and if all else fails, swapping down to windows 10 OS.
I am not able to get 1920x1080 resolution in my Windows 10.0.19044.1288 21H2 VM no matter what graphic settings i pick from the VM configuration. The Windows VM has the guest add ons installed (6.1.38) but i get only 1024x768 using the VB Graphics adapter (VBoxSVGA).

I "fixed" the template to "XP 32 bit" and removed the Network boot option (even though it was just the 4th one). It still doesn't boot and leaves me with a black screen. The device is a rather old HP Compaq laptop with a T7200 CPU. I would exclude any "weird" hardware, but need to check.
Windows 98 has been running pretty well in VirtualBox, but with the latest motherboard and VirtualBox updates, it has not been possible. Decided to give Windows 98 and VirtualBox a new tryout and ended up with a Windows 98 version much better than in DOSBox-X.
Jan 2021, 23:03. Was trying to get Amplitube (software guitar amp) running on a Windows 10 guest in VirtualBox. Since it requires more than OpenGL 1 to render the interface, all I got was a black screen. Putting the opengl dll into its application folder solved the problem.
