The 2001 Big South Conference men's basketball tournament took place March 1–3, 2001, at the Roanoke Civic Center in Roanoke, Virginia. For the third consecutive year, the tournament was won by the Winthrop Eagles, led by head coach Gregg Marshall. [1]
South County High School, opened in September 2005, is a public high school in Lorton, [1] Virginia and is part of the Fairfax County Public Schools system. The school mascot is "Stan" the Stallion and the school colors are forest green, navy blue, and silver. Common nicknames include "SoCo", "SCHS", and "South County".
All tournament games were played at the Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina, from March 8–11, 2024. The winner of the tournament, Samford, received the conference's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.
