Also, the newer code requires the sender to have registered for a mailer-ID, to add a unique number to each mailpiece, and to keep track of numbers used for uniqueness. This makes the POSTNET code much easier to work with. If anyone knows whether they still scan POSTNET or when they stopped (or will stop, which would be stupid) scanning, do add.
