Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is a 2022 Indian biographical drama film written, produced, and directed by R. Madhavan in his directorial debut. The film is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, played by Madhavan, a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation who was accused in an espionage case and later exonerated.

Nambi Narayanan (born 12 December 1941) [4] is an Indian aerospace scientist who worked for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). As a senior official at the ISRO, he was briefly in charge of the cryogenics division. [5] He was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award, in March 2019. [6]
