Central Selection Board of Constable was created by the Governor of Bihar in 2008 by making amendments to Bihar Police Manual. [5] This amendment instituted the board and gave it the power to conduct written as well as physical fitness examinations and create the merit list according to the merits of the applicants and the rules of reservation.
The 2024 Indian general election was held in Bihar in all 7 phases from 19 April to 1 June to elect 40 members of the 18th Lok Sabha, with the results declared on 4 June. In undivided Bihar, the Police Academy was located in Hazaribagh imparting training to state police officers. On 15 November 2000, Hazaribagh became a part of Jharkhand. [ 2 ] This left Bihar without a Police Academy and the officers were getting trained at Constable Training School at Nathnagar, Bhagalpur.
