the bags are desined for different shooting styles. Some like to have control of the rifle, use cheek weld and squeze the rear bag to put the cross hairs on target. Others use free recoil with little contact with the rifle. The cordura bunny ears work for this stile, the rabbit ears for the first.
With modern shooters that want to go out beyond the 50 yard mark a better bullet design is needed. Maybe more weight and/or better sectional density. The trick will be how to package that in the current 22lrenvelope. Of course we would need barrels with faster twist with using a longer bullet but then that will be another subject for a later time.
Note that in March, a Connecticut 10-X sold on GunBroker for over $4800, while this ML71128 framed 10-X sold for $2500. The condition of each looked similar. On GunBroker at this time is a Houston made (type 2) 10-X without attribution to Bob Shea with a bid of $806, and the SH29603 (type 3) 10-X Shea assembled gun with a current bid of $2500.

It's between the Taurus TX22 Compact and the Sig P322 right now. Here's my current pros/cons between the two. TX22 Pros: Comfortable, cost, local availability, 13 rnd magazine (I'm in IL, so mags must be 15 rounds or less) TX22 Cons: Not a huge fan of the stock sights. Sig P322 Pros:
