The advantage of a certified (QR label) cable is that at least you know that the cable was tested and certified by HDMI.org to meet the HDMI 2.0 (18Gbps) option sets. If you already have the cables as a "freebie" then go ahead and use them because at least you weren't overcharged for them and they do have the QR label.
Directly from monoprice on Ebay, its an active 3 ft. HDMI cable rated for UHD @ 18 GBPS: BTW, I'm 100% certain it's the cable. I tried it on several devices, and I can use other HDMI cables on the same ports, so it is without a doubt the Monoprice cable that's faulty. Any mfr can have a bad cable.
Monoprice THX in-wall speakers and alternatives. I have a 7.1 setup currently and I'm looking to upgrade the existing IW speakers. From what I've gathered reading these boards and some other review sites, Monoprice are generally good bang-for-buck speakers. I'll be pairing them with a PSA TV1812 sub so don't need them to go much lower than 80Hz.
If you're realistic about the limitations of a $200 10 or 12-inch subwoofer, recognizing it's more for midbass than deep, earth-shaking lows, then this $99 12-inch Monoprice subwoofer is a remarkable value. It won't give you the deepest bass at 30Hz, and the output drops below 50Hz, but for the price, it's the best value I've seen in powered ...
The three new models include the 3-way Monolith THX Ultra certified THX-365T Atmos mini-tower ($499.99/each) and THX-365C center channel ($399.99/each) , as well as the 2-way, THX Select certified THX-265B Atmos bookshelf speaker ($349.99/each) . Intrigued, I requested a pair to review on the spot and in response, Monoprice sent a 5-speaker ...

Available in 10", 12" and 15" models (SRD210, SRD212 and SRD215) they all include class D amps, DSP and Bluetooth following the industry trend in PA ...
Recently, Monoprice introduced the Monolith 7 amplifier ($1500), the first in a new line of affordable high-performance audio products. A revealing view of the Monolith 7. The Monolith 7 is a rock-solid class-AB amp that delivers 200 watts per channel to all seven channels simultaneously when presented with an 8-ohm load.
Most are a bit price tho. Lowest really good one is the RSL speedwoofer 10s at $399. The HTIB (home theater in a box) system that you list uses Dolby enabled speakers. (They fire upward, to give the height channels by reflecting off the ceiling.) Doing 5.1.4 requires a 9 channel AVR (audio video receiver).
I recently bought some Monoprice CAT6 cables and they now say 550Mhz. They are also ETL verified (not just ETL compliant) so my guess is that they are as good as any other brand, especially for the price. I did receive one bad one however Monoprice replaced it promptly. Reply Like.
