Charles Hodge (December 27, 1797 – June 19, 1878) was a Reformed Presbyterian theologian and principal of Princeton Theological Seminary between 1851 and 1878.. He was a leading exponent of the Princeton Theology, an orthodox Calvinist theological tradition in America during the 19th century.
He was also on the Board of Trustees at Princeton Theological Seminary, and the National Advisory Board of the John C. Danforth Center on Religion & Politics at Washington University. In 2019, he was appointed the Dean of Wake Forest University School of Divinity, Presidential Chair in Religion & Society and Dean of Wait Chapel.
Miller Chapel is the spiritual center of the Princeton Theological Seminary, located in New Jersey, United States, and has been in continuous use since its completion in 1834. It was built by renowned local architect and builder Charles Steadman in stuccoed brick with a simple Doric portico.
