The MyFord Touch System's 8" LCD screen, as implemented in a 2011 Ford Edge. MyFord Touch (branded as MyLincoln Touch on Ford's Lincoln brand products, [1] and also known as SYNC 2) is an in-car communications and entertainment system developed by the Ford Motor Company, based on Microsoft technologies.
On December 11, 2014, Ford announced Sync 3, which replaced MyFord Touch, having simpler features and be powered by QNX software by BlackBerry Limited instead of Microsoft. [4] The Sync 3 name is be used for both Ford and Lincoln models, though Lincoln's have a different theme.
Ford has had a great deal of success with its SYNC "infotainment" system -- and the MyFord Touch add-on to it, introduced a couple of years ago, has proven to be very popular with buyers as well.
