Saratoga is a Spanish heavy metal band established in Madrid in 1992 by bassist Niko del Hierro (Ñu, Barón Rojo) and guitarist Jero Ramiro (Santa, Ñu). [1] Since March 2023, the band's lineup has consisted of del Hierro, Ramiro, Tete Novoa (vocals), and Arnau Martí (drums).
The Militia Group was founded in 1998 by Chad Pearson as a booking agency, booking for artists such as Slick Shoes, Craig's Brother, Dogwood, twothirtyeight, Acceptance, and Element 101. Pearson and Rory Felton partnered in 2000 to turn the booking agency into a record company.
In 2008, the band played at select cities on Hanson's Walk Around the World Tour. [8] "1½," an acoustic version of their debut album, was released on April 1, 2008 on The Militia Group. [9] Featured on the soundtrack of the movie Fired Up!(2009) [10] In 2010, the band used kickstarter to raise money for their new record. [11]
The video for "Ghost By Your Side" was added to regular rotation on MTV and the college/indie single "Happy Apple Poison" charted in the top 10. The band's third album, The Sucker Punch Show , was made with iconic 90s rock producer Michael Beinhorn (Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mew) at the Red Bull Studios in Santa Monica, CA. [ 5 ]
