The Matadors, led by first year head coach Theo Edwards, [1] played their home games at Premier America Credit Union Arena (formerly the Matadome). [2]

Steve Rotter was born on April 16, 1998 [1] in La Palma, California to Charles and Maria Rotter. He attended St. John Bosco High School graduating in 2016. For his college education, Rotter studied at Long Beach City College from 2017 to 2018 before transferring to California State University, Northridge in 2019.

CSUN fields both men's and women's teams in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, indoor and outdoor track and field, and volleyball. CSUN also has baseball and softball and fields women's teams in beach volleyball, tennis and water polo. Due to state and university budget deficits, CSUN dropped football following the 2001 season.
