Lepe is a hamlet on north-west shore of the Solent.It is part of the civil parish of Exbury and Lepe, which in turn is part of the New Forest district of Hampshire. [2] The civil parish is coextensive with the Church of England parish of Exbury which maintains one church, as since early medieval times, at Exbury. [3]
Lepe's main beach is La Antilla, 5 km south of Lepe. Located 5 km northeast of La Antilla and 5 km south of Lepe is the small fishing port of El Terrón. It has fine views across to El Rompido and the a nature reserve of the Marismas del Río Piedras.

The shingle beach in the foreground is part of the Lepe Country Park,and it is less populated by visitors as it can only be accessed by a walk around Stansore Point from the car parks. It isn't possible to walk the length of this beach to Calshot as the beach in the distance is part of the North Solent Nature Reserve.
