The Forestry Commission produces timber from state-owned forests. The Forestry Commission was established as part of the Forestry Act 1919. [7] The board was initially made up of eight forestry commissioners and was chaired by Simon Fraser, 14th Lord Lovat from 1919 to 1927. [10]

After leaving school, he worked with the Forestry Commission, before joining Textbook Sales in Harare. From 1975 to 1981 he worked at the Literature Bureau as an editor and then moved to the Zimbabwe Publishing House. [3] [4]
