Don Sallee (March 17, 1933–August 27, 2019) is an American former politician and attorney from Kansas who served as a member of both the Kansas House of Representatives and the Kansas Senate. Sallee was born in Troy, Kansas.
Troy is part of the St. Joseph, MO–KS Metropolitan Statistical Area. Troy was platted in 1855. [4] It was named after the ancient city of Troy. [5] The first house in Troy was built in 1856, and the first store opened in 1857. Troy was incorporated as a city in 1860. [6] The first post office in Troy was established in March, 1857. [7]

The Doniphan County Courthouse, located in Courthouse Square in Troy, is the seat of government of Doniphan County, Kansas. The courthouse was built from 1905 to 1906 and was the fourth courthouse in the county. Architect George P. Washburn, who designed several courthouses in the state, designed the building in the Romanesque Revival style.
