Here, hovering over Central Coast (which uses {{place name disambiguation}}) or Clark County (which uses {{geodis}}) both yield pop ups with their content. The difference I notice is that the pop ups for the former don't offer "Click to disambiguate this link to:", which is annoying and might be worth fixing.
