"Legacy" is an oboe concerto composed by Óscar Navarro in 2015. The oboist Ramón Ortega Quero commissioned the piece in 2013 after hearing and enjoying Navarro's Segundo concierto para clarinete y orquesta. [1] It was premiered on 17 April 2015 in Herford with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie under Manuel Gómez López. [2]

Benny Goodman premiered the concerto on an NBC radio broadcast with the NBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Fritz Reiner, on November 6, 1950.
The Clarinet Concerto, which lasts about 19 minutes, is divided into three large sections (fast-slow-fast), and includes four cadenzas—two for the soloist and two for two clarinets; one of the solo cadenzas in the slow movement is accompanied by the orchestra. The work is built on two themes.

The Clarinet Concerto No. 1 in C minor, Op. 26, was composed by Louis Spohr between fall of 1808 and early 1809, and published in 1812. The concerto was the first of four that Spohr would compose in his lifetime, all of which were dedicated to the German clarinet virtuoso Johann Simon Hermstedt.
