The Stena Estrid is a passenger and vehicle 'Ro-Pax' ferry which sails for Stena Line on its Holyhead–Dublin route. [1] She is the first ferry in the E-Flexer class, [2] and was delivered to the company on 15 November 2019. [3] [4] She made her maiden commercial crossing between Holyhead and Dublin on 13 January 2020. [5]
Between 1991 and 2000 she sailed as MS Stena Invicta for Sealink Stena Line and Stena Line. In 1998 she was chartered to Silja Line under the marketing name MS Wasa Jubilee. In May 2000 the Stena Invicta started operating for Color Line and received the name MS Color Viking. [1] SuperStar II is certified for 2000 passengers and 370 cars.
The ship was floated on 15 April 2019, [1] and delivered to Stena at Weihai on 15 January 2020. [2] After conducting berthing trials at Belfast Harbour in February 2020, [3] the ship began its maiden commercial voyage on 9 March 2020, completing it the following day. The ship competed its sea trials in the Yellow Sea before the end of October 2020, [2] and was delivered to Stena at Weihai on 1 December 2020. [ 3 ] [ 4 ] The ship began its maiden commercial voyage from Rosslare to Cherbourg on 14 January 2021, [ 5 ] [ 6 ] and was transferred to the Birkenhead to Belfast route by 26 January 2021.
Stena Danica is a ferry operated by Stena Line between Gothenburg and Fredrikshavn. She entered service in 1983, along with her sister ship Stena Jutlandica . She still serves the same route today.
