Teluk Blanga is known as 石叻門 in Hokkien (POJ: Sit-Lat mn̂g), meaning "Singapore gate". It is the namesake of the Teluk Belanga (modern Malay spelling) style of Baju Melayu, the traditional costume of Malay men.
