Dead (stylized in all lowercase) is the third EP by American singer Blackbear.It was released on June 2, 2015 through his independent record label Beartrap. The EP contains acoustic guitar-led versions of four songs from his debut album Deadroses as well as the exclusive track "Weak When Ur Around".
In February 2019, Blackbear said he would be releasing a single per week until April 26, which is when his fourth studio album would be released. Five singles were released before the album's release: "1 Sided Love" on February 14, "High1x" on March 1, "Swear to God" on March 13, "Hate My Guts" on March 29, and "Dead to Me" on April 12.

The title track "Deadroses" was released as a promotional single. A deluxe edition of the album including the EP Dead, containing acoustic tracks from Deadroses, was sold as a limited edition two-disc set during 2015 and 2016. Because the album has so much to do with the internet, with the age of social media, I wanted to title it after something real in my life.
