The battle ends with Jotaro defeating Dio using the ability and subsequently killing him. Jotaro later revives Joseph via blood transfusion from Dio's corpse, and the two destroy Dio's corpse with sunlight. Jotaro and Joseph then bid Polnareff farewell before returning to Japan, as Holly has made a full recovery.
