The issue is that Ubisoft is not available there (nor is Epic Games on the Ubisoft Account side), making it impossible for users to manually unlink those specific accounts once the process has been done at least once (and linking can only be achieved when you try to open a Ubisoft game from the Epic Games launcher).
Just got this email and I am from Europe where this was possible up until now. Add to this Ubisoft decision to remove certain games from all stores except Epic Store and Uplay and their decision to move towards direct account activation of their games bought on 3rd party stores, things are not looking good for cheap Ubisoft games in the future.
That's interesting, I would even feel guilty for the crazy deal combo with Ubisoft and Epic. Like getting the most expensive Ubisoft (tm) mega pack (you know the Ubisoft meme chart to figure out what's in the version you're getting, yeah the one that has a check on all boxes) for like $35 when it normally cost $100+.
Since Uplay+ automatically includes all Ubi games, Uplay's licence system likely wasn't designed to support selective exclusion, so the only option was to revoke all Uplay licences. A few people in this Reddit thread suggested that the absence could be related to Ubisoft's decision to throw in with the Epic Games Store, presumably forgetting that Epic began rolling out achievement support a few months ago. Not that it should matter—Far Cry 5 has achievements on Ubisoft...
