Iron golems will typically stay in the village (65x13x65 by default). If they go more than 10 blocks outside the boundary for more than 20 minutes then they'll leave the village. Or if they enter another village (they are outside the current village and closer to the centre of a different village) then they'll join the new village.
Iron Golem thorns only applies to itself and is always overridden by Thorns, even if the Iron Golem skill level is higher or Iron Golem thorns returns more damage. When Thorns is no longer applied, Iron Golem loses its own thorns as well. Summoned again in a new game if Necromancer has at least one skill point invested or a skill bonus.
Full list of spawnable and un-spawnable blocks for iron golems? Help. I keep getting conflicting information as to where they can and cannot spawn. (They can spawn on slabs/they cannot spawn on slabs etc) I'm going to attempt building what looks like a village with a central pond where golems can spawn and be killed in a deep lava chamber. The ...
My iron farm is spawning cats but not golems. Is there any trouble shooting things I can do to fix this?
Each 10 villagers (up to 40 at least, and presumably beyond, but I have not verified) adds a chance at an additional golem. The spawning volume for golems is the same as it is for cats. It is a 17×17×6 box. The ambiguity stems from its center, which depends on the village center, which is itself set by the villagers -- and they can change it.
The maximum distance the player can be from the village for iron golems to spawn can be calculated with the following formulas. These are only approximate because they yield a volume with a rectangular cross section, but the simulation distance volume is roughly rounded and omits the corner chunks.

I believe it's the fact that the water is touching the iron. Hope that helps. Edit: it also needs to be a carved pumpkin not a Jack O'Lantern. 5. Award. Share. Code-Lazar124. • 3 yr. ago. The only block that can be underneath an iron golem is air, temporarily drain the water then break the Pumpkin and place it again, it should spawn, than you ...
Iron Farm not spawning a golem (1.20.1) Make sure the villagers have claimed and slept in the beds at least once before you trap the zombie. Also name or put the zombie in a boat so it won't despawn. The villagers need to be together to gossip. idk about close villages but you need 3 things for a golem. -jobs for at least 3 villagers.
Put a mage on the front line and have the golem focus them. You can move out of the poison cloud they create. Stoneskins or protection from magic weapons stops all the damage from the iron golem. You need weapons that are +3 or better to hit it, which means flail of ages, frost reaver, the Warhammer, etc.
