Before he can kill her, however, Kyros intercepts him, and the two battle. One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a 17-year-old boy, whose body has gained the properties of rubber from accidentally eating a supernatural fruit, and his crew of diverse pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates.
The streets appear empty, abandoned by the men who were fighting Luffy. Just then, the Law's Watch Dog Unit and a large group of other men step into their way. A fight seems inevitable until their allies, riding the king bulls, arrive. Paulie uses his ropes to pull the crew onto the back of one of the large animals.
Law tries to save Luffy, but his powers are nullified when Hawkins strikes him with a nail made of Seastone, revealing the substance originates from Wano. As Law is forced to flee by himself, Kaido notes that even though unconscious, Luffy continues to glare at him as the emperor scoffs at Luffy's aspirations at becoming King of the Pirates.
After Luffy punches Charloss, the guards begin to attack the Straw Hats, and most of the observers, except for Charloss' family and Kid and Law's crews, evacuate. The Straw Hats fight the guards as Robin, Brook and Usopp arrive to help, with Usopp accidentally knocking Rosward unconscious as he falls through the roof, and work to save Camie.
