General Hospital Ernakulam is a state-owned hospital, with excellent super speciality facilities for training and treatment in cardiology, ctvs, nephrology, urology along with internal medicine, general surgery in Kochi, India. [1] It is managed as part of the public health system of the government of Kerala.
Government Medical College, Ernakulam (previously Cochin Medical College) is one of the medical colleges in the state of Kerala situated at Kalamassery, Kochi. It was a government-owned institution established by the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education under the Department of Co-operation, Govt. of Kerala, established in the year 1999.

A P Varkey Mission Hospital, is a general hospital owned and operated by CPIM in Arakkunnam, Ernakulam district, Kerala, India. The hospital is named after the former district secretary of CPIM party, late A.P. Varkey. It was established in 2003 and was inaugurated by the Leader of opposition Kerala state assembly V.S. Achuthananthan.

The present hospital was commissioned as a 75-bed facility on 8 March 1958 and named after the mythological herb mentioned in the Hindu epic Ramayana. The crest of the establishment depicts Hanuman 's hand carrying the mountain growing the Sanjivani herb, with a background of coconut trees and blue white sea waves representing the coast of Kerala.
