The Universidad del Valle de Guatemala (UVG) (University of the Valley of Guatemala) is a private, not-for-profit, secular university in Guatemala City, Guatemala. It was founded in 1966 by a private foundation, which had previously overseen the American School of Guatemala .
A year later, in partnership with the Association of Managers of Guatemala, they established the Escuela Superior de Alta Gerencia (ESAG), to provide expertise. In 2002, another branch was established in Quetzaltenango as part of the Central American University which is the High School Senior Management headquarters.
Mixco Viejo (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈmisko ˈβieχo]) ("Old Mixco"), occasionally spelt Jilotepeque Viejo, is an archaeological site in the north east of the Chimaltenango department of Guatemala, some 50 kilometres (31 mi) to the north of Guatemala City and 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) from the junction of the rivers Pixcaya and Motagua.
