Velomotors (Russian: Веломоторс) is a Russian manufacturer of bicycles, motorscooters, and small all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) that was founded in 1996. [1] Velomotors produces the Stels brand of bicycles and motorscooters. In 2009 the company entered into a manufacturing arrangement with the Asian companies Buyang, Kazuma, and Dinli. [2]
US Public Law 110-314, enacted on August 8, 2008, [9] separated ATCs from existing new production ATV safety standards, and requires new standards for three-wheeled ATCs to be drafted. This effectively suspended importation of three-wheeled ATCs, until new standards of safety can be drafted.
