Pine Bluff is the largest city in a three-county MSA as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau including Jefferson, Cleveland, and Lincoln counties. The Pine Bluff MSA population in 2000 was 107,341 people. The Pine Bluff MSA population in 2007 dropped to 101,484. Pine Bluff was the fastest-declining Arkansas MSA from 2000 to 2007.

The Pine Bluff Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is a three-county region in southeast Arkansas, anchored by the city of Pine Bluff. As of the 2010 census , the MSA had a population of 100,258. [ 1 ]
An 8,500-seat multi-purpose arena featuring 22,984 square feet (2,135.3 m 2) of space and a 40-foot (12 m) ceiling height.The arena hosts local concerts and sporting events, including boxing, basketball, auto racing, wrestling, and rodeos, as well as conventions, trade shows, circuses, dances and banquets for the area.
Built in 1856, the building was largely destroyed by fire in 1976. However, the surviving portions of the building were incorporated into the restored structure. The courthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places within the Pine Bluff Commercial Historic District submittal in 2008. [1]
The sign in Pine Bluff, Arkansas' only known surviving example of an early single arch McDonald's sign, is also a good example of a rare early backlit plastic sign. Backlit plastic signs were popularized post-World War II and revolutionized the sign industry through the 1950s and 60s. [2]
The Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas is a 22,000-square-foot (2,000 m 2) art and science museum located at 701 Main Street in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.It includes four galleries, a 232-seat theatre, classroom space, administrative offices, vault and adequate preparatory and conservation space for the Center's current programming efforts.
It is a large six-story U-shaped masonry structure, with a two-story section filling the center of the U. The center section has a portico projecting over the sidewalk, with Classical Revival detailing and paired columns for support. Built in 1913 and in operation as a hotel until 1970, it was Pine Bluff's grandest hotel. [2]
