The Brimfield Antique Show is an antique show held in Brimfield, Massachusetts. It is the largest outdoor antiques show in New England . It takes place three times each year, for six days in May, July, and September.
The majority of the district's buildings were constructed during Springfield's population boom in the 1860s and its subsequent growth in the latter half of the 19th century. These buildings included hotels, drug stores, groceries, clothing stores, and dry goods stores; some of the stores built in this period are still in operation.
The Old Capitol Art Fair was first celebrated in 1962. It has been held continuously on the lawn of and in the streets surrounding Springfield's Old State Capitol, except when the historic 1837 building was being reconstructed in 1966-70. [1] The fair is known for the Children's Tent, a Springfield innovation.
