Maryland Route 544 (MD 544) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. Known as McGinnes Road, the highway runs 9.48 miles (15.26 km) from MD 213 in Kingstown east to MD 313 near Millington. Through the routes at its termini, MD 544 connects the Kent County towns of Chestertown and Millington through the northern tier of Queen Anne's County.
Millersville, named for the first Postmaster, George Miller, was the first Post Office to be established, on July 24, 1841, along the Annapolis & Elkridge Railroad (the A & E). [3] Completed in 1840, the A & E was one of the earliest rail lines in the U.S., connecting Annapolis with the Washington Branch of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad .
The Hyattsville Post Office is a one-story brick building constructed over a full basement, located on Gallatin Street in Hyattsville, Prince George's County, Maryland. The Colonial Revival building consists of a central, three-bay block flanked by smaller one-bay flat-roofed pavilions. It was constructed in 1935 and remains in active use.
