Monroe Township, founded June 9, 1825, is one of the fourteen townships of Clermont County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,531 at the 2020 census . [ 3 ] The birthplace of Ulysses S. Grant is located in Point Pleasant , an unincorporated community in the southern part of the township.
The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1. Two are elected in the year after the presidential election and one is elected in the year before it.
Monroe Township is one of the eighteen townships of Richland County, Ohio, United States. It is a part of the Mansfield Metropolitan Statistical Area . The 2020 census found 2,721 people in the township.
