In 1971 Andrew Morris succeeded Brian Brockless as Organist and Director of Music at the Priory Church of St Bartholomew-the-Great, Smithfield, in the City of London. During his 8-year tenure at the Church he developed both the music within the liturgy and the concert programmes.
The original (probably pre-Norman) church on the site was dedicated to St Edmund the King and Martyr. In 1962, the society established its own chapel in the Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great in Smithfield, London. In 2005, the chapel was moved to St Martin's Chapel in the crypt of St Paul's Cathedral in London. [ 4 ]
