Santa Monica High School, officially abbreviated to Samohi or SMHS, is a public high school in Santa Monica, California. Founded in 1891, [1] it changed location several times in its early years before settling into its present campus at 601 Pico Boulevard. It is a part of the Santa Monica–Malibu Unified School District.
Quite the groovy decade of hosting and socializing with major flair, the 1970s were full of funky foods that became synonymous with the buffet tables laid out at every party.
Built in 1929, Ocean House—later called simply the Beach House—was a hot spot on Santa Monica's Gold Coast in the 1930s and 1940s, as William Randolph Hearst and Marion Davies entertained Hollywood's elite at Davies' 5-acre (20,000 m 2) estate. [2]
