Saint Louis School plays competitively in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) and the Hawai'i High School Athletic Association (HHSAA). Sometimes it fields members in the Pac-5, an alliance of Honolulu-area private academies. As the state has no professional sports teams, high school teams in Hawaii are extremely popular with the public.
As of 2016, the Hawaii High School Athletic Association board approved for a three-tier football state championship format, which will go into effect. The number of teams in the Divisional tournaments will vary each year.
Cal Lee (born October 20, 1946) is an American football coach who is currently the defensive coordinator at Saint Louis School in Honolulu.A former assistant head coach for the University of Hawaii football team, [1] Lee was a successful high school football coach prior to joining the staff at the University of Hawaii in 2003.
A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Alualu attended and graduated from Saint Louis School in Hawaii in 2005. He was selected to the all-state team twice by the Honolulu Star Bulletin. He was ranked as the No. 2 player in Hawaii and the No. 24 defensive tackle in America by Rivals.com for 2005. He recorded 7 sacks and 59 tackles in high school. [1]
