The Atoll Hospital is the primary healthcare provider for the people of South Ari Atoll. Some of the services available at the hospital include E.C.G, laboratory investigations, labor, x-ray, ultra sound scanning, vaccination, and medical examination as part of renewing/applying for work-permit.
Ari Atoll (also called Alif or Alifu Atoll) is one of the natural atolls of the Maldives. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] It is one of the biggest atolls and is located in the west of the archipelago . The almost rectangular alignment spreads the islands over an area of about 89 by 3 kilometres (55.3 by 1.9 miles).
The separation of Ari Atoll (formerly Alifu Atoll) on March 1, 1984, into a Northern and a Southern section formed the two most recent administrative divisions of the Maldives, namely Alifu Alifu Atoll and Alifu Dhaalu Atoll. Alifu Dhaalu Atoll lies south of the line between the channels of Himendhoo Dhekunukandu and Genburugau Kandu.
Thudufushi (sometimes spelled Thundufushi), formerly one of the uninhabited islands of Alif Dhaal Atoll (South Ari Atoll), Maldives, was developed into a 70 room 5 star resort called Diamonds Thudufushi Beach and Water Villas in 1990. It is managed by Planhotel Hospitality Group.
Dhaalu Atoll Hospital is the regional hospital in the atoll, being located in the atoll's capital, Kudahuvadhoo. Southern Nilandhe Atoll, Nilande Atoll South or Dhaalu is one of the atolls of the Maldives. It corresponds to the natural atoll of the same name. It stretches 23 km (14 mi) from east to west, and 38 km (24 mi) north to south. Out of a total of 56 islands, eight of the islands are inhabited, with a total population of around 6694.

Haa Dhaalu Atoll is the code name based on the letters of the Maldivian alphabet commonly used to refer to the administrative division (known as "Atoll") officially known as South Thiladhunmathi Atoll (Maldivian: Thiladhunmathi Dhekunuburi) in the Maldives.
