Chicago City SC is an American soccer club based out of Chicago. The organization has two senior teams, with the men's team playing in USL League Two as a member of the Heartland Division and the women's team playing in the USL W League as a member of the Heartland Division. CITY also fields a team in the Midwest Premier League.
The franchise, named in memory of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, was founded as the Chicago Fire Soccer Club on October 8, 1997, the Great Fire's 126th anniversary. The team began play in 1998 as one of the league's first expansion teams.
Chicago FC United, founded in 2003, is an elite youth soccer program located in suburban Chicago. The club also operates Trevians Soccer Club and Chicago Magic. [1] FC United youth teams play in local, regional, and national leagues, and its academy teams are founding members of Girls Academy, [2] and MLS Next.

[5] [6] By the 2023 season the league had grown to 65 teams. The growth of the league resulted in the development of a four-conference system, which is broken down into 10 divisions.
