Lecanto is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Citrus County, Florida, United States. As of the 2020 census it had a population of 6,301, up from 5,882 at the 2010 census. [4] It is part of the Homosassa Springs, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Inverness is located in eastern Citrus County, on the western shore of the connected Tsala Apopka and Henderson lakes. According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 7.7 square miles (19.9 km 2 ), of which 7.6 square miles (19.7 km 2 ) is land and 0.08 square miles (0.2 km 2 ), or 1.01%, is water.
