The Church of St Mary the Virgin is in the village of Bowdon near Altrincham, Greater Manchester, England. Bowdon Vale Methodist Church has had a presence in the area since 1883. The registers of baptisms 1628–1964, marriages 1628–1964 and burials 1628–1973 have been deposited at the Cheshire Record Office .
The church consists of a nave with a clerestory, north and south aisles, a west porch, north and south transepts, and a chancel with a polygonal apse. The presbytery is attached to the south corner, it is in similar materials, and has two storeys, a hipped roof , sash windows , a Tudor arched doorway, and decoration in diapering .

The war memorial is in the churchyard of the Church of St Thomas with St Mark, to the east of the church, and is in red sandstone. It consists of a square column on a plinth of two steps, with a carved gableted top surmounted by a foliate cross. The column contains panels with inscriptions and the names of those lost in the First World War. [23] II
