Bleu de Chanel (literally translated as "Chanel's Blue" or "Blue Chanel") is a men's fragrance created by Jacques Polge for French fashion house Chanel in 2010. [1] It was the first men's fragrance released by the brand since Allure Homme Sport in 2004, and the first men's masterbrand introduced since Égoïste in 1990. [2]
In 2013, Polge became a perfumer at Chanel. His father retired in 2015, and Polge took over as head perfumer. [6] [7] In 2018 Polge created the Bleu de Chanel Parfum, a new version of the fragrance Bleu de Chanel, originally created by his father.
Bleu De Chanel debuted September 2010 and is an aromatic-woody cologne with citrus notes “accentuated by sandalwood and cedar,” according to the brand. It retails for $144 and up.
